i love THIS job to the ends of the earth. i don't take photos Because they look pretty, i take photos because your story deserves to be told honestly, artfully, and exactly as it happened. The rewarding feeling of preserving every "blink-and-you’ll-miss-it" moment, makes everything worth it. Because the best moments aren’t posed—they just happen. The way your partner looks at you when you’re not watching, the unplanned air jump on stage, or the energy from a crowd, the way time seems to stand still for just a second. These are the memories you’ll want to hold onto forever, and that’s exactly why I do what I do: honest storytelling that lets you relive the magic again and again.
THE GUIDE
LOCATIONS
Although I have a few cherished photoshoot spots around the Lloydminster & surrounding areas, please feel free to have a location researched & picked! If there is somewhere that is not your land but you want to take photos, please discuss that with me as it never hurts for us to ask permission together to land owners to make some magic.
Downtown Lloydminster, dirt roads, farms, fields, meadows, bridges, acreages are some examples!
CREATIVE DESCRETION
note that I as the photographer have creative control over certain aspects of the process. Editing and colouring styles are apparent for my personal and unique photography services.
Feel free to have pose inspiration & colour coordinated outfits ready!
Inspiration can be found on Pinterest, cinema, paintings, Instagram, MUSIC VIDEOS, etc.
SEASON/TIME
Photos can come out differently depending on the season or time of the day. We will discuss a specific window of time that gets you the dream photos that you have been waiting for!
All seasons are welcome, Fall, Winter, Spring, but limited in summer.
Sunrise, sunset, golden hour, cloudy overcast days, late evenings.
I would not recommend broad daylight as it creates harsh lighting & shadows.
POSES
Although it is nice to catch you in your natural state, I know how vulnerable it feels to be infront of the camera with a stranger on the other side of it.
I can pose you, no worries! Continuous slow swaying movement is key to a great photo. Stay frozen too long and you may look stiff.
OUTFITS
For family sessions, I encourage having coordinated outfits ready for the day of the shoot. Neutral colours work best with more subjects. Throw in a textured piece of clothing for depth!
Solo sessions can be discussed to fit the look that you are going for!
PROPS
Props props props! Bring a prop! Chairs, rugs, blankets, signs, all are welcome! We can discuss further on what props are brought by who, and how they will be placed in the photoshoot set up.
